It shouldn't be shocking to learn that there are people who do not dream. To me, it's not shocking but strange. It is not a normal thing for a human to not dream, that is why I'm writing this article to address this issue from a spiritual standpoint. So let's learn the spiritual meaning of not dreaming.
While some people are unable to remember their dreams immediately after they wake up, there are others who are completely unable to dream. The problem of not dreaming is rampant both among Christians and non-Christians.
I have been opportuned to meet a few people who confessed on not being able to dream. According to them, they always sleep and wake up without dreaming any dream.
A good number of these people are teenagers. But it isn't only young people who are affected. Very many people (among the small, young and old) do not dream dreams. This is not okay. It is a spiritual problem that cries out for urgent intervention.

I see dreaming as a special spiritual gift given freely to many by the Almighty God. Most times, the business ideas that people bring to fruition are given to them in their dreams. People receive directions and guidance through dreams. Anyone who is not dreaming dreams is definitely missing out on a lot.

There are variety of reasons why some people don't dream. Although, some often attempt to attribute inability to see dreams to medical conditions, it is more of a spiritual problem.
As I earlier said, many people do not dream, but unfortunately, only a few of them are always willing to talk about it or seek help.
Studies have proven that up to a staggering 6.5% of people have reported to 'never dream'. Science calls it a sleep disorder, but certain things are beyond what science could explain. There is nothing normal about being unable to dream.
Now that you know that not being able to dream is a major spiritual problem, if you're one of those who are unable to dream—in order to ascertain the source of this problem—you should be able to ask and answer the following questions:.
- Am I genuinely saved?
- Am I filled with the Holy Spirit?
- Am I living a holy and pure life?
- How prayerful have I been recently?

Why Am I Not Dreaming Anymore Spiritual Meaning
While some people have reported to never dream right from birth, some have reported to have gradually lost their ability to dream.
Maybe something happened that led to this. But no matter what happened, know that our Lord Jesus is able and willing to reactivate and restore your ability to dream dreams.

- Having an unregenerate soul

Spiritual dormancy is like putting off a candle which was once lighted. There is a candle, yet there is no fire burning on it. When man detests spirituality and everything that has to do with the spiritual aspect of life, the result is often spiritual dormancy. Most of those who are in such a state are unable to dream dreams.
2. The Unregenerate Soul
The natural man has an unregenerate soul. He cannot appreciate or desire spiritual things. He cannot perceive the things of the Spirit. He lives in the Flesh and feeds the Flesh. The soul of the natural man is not yet activated to experience things of the Spirit.

Everyone who is not saved and filled with the Holy Spirit has an unregenerate soul. This is one of the major causes for inability to dream dreams.
Romans 8:11 KJVBut if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
When a person gets saved and baptised in the Holy Spirit, their soul receives life and gets activated to explore and experience the supernatural realm in full.

Living in sin and feeding the flesh is the quickest means through which anyone can descend the ladder of spirituality. It is one of the deadliest barrier to spiritual growth.
John 6:63 KJVIt is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
If a person wallows in sin and feeds on things that kill them spiritually, then they shouldn't expect to still retain that sharp ability to dream dreams. Sometimes, this can lead to a total loss of the dreaming ability.
5. Not Being Filled With The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit comes into man to activate and intensify every default spiritual ability in him. The Holy Spirit acts as a spiritual catalyst. When we are full of the Spirit, there won't be any struggle when it comes to walking in the supernatural. In such a state, dreaming and remembering dreams comes with ease.
Ephesians 5:18 KJVAnd be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.
Diverse spiritual problems (including inability to dream dreams) show up when people are not filled with the Holy Spirit. So be filled with the Holy Spirit—the Bible commands us so.
