There are many spiritual reasons why people can't remember their dreams, but the major one I'll start by highlighting is a low spiritual life. 

People in this world are either spiritual or carnal. There is even a group of people who do not believe anything that has to do with the spiritual. Instead, they believe that spirituality is superstition. 

Such people don't fancy spiritual things, neither do they chase after things that could help them grow spiritually. But interestingly, the same people are among those who complain about not being able to remember their dreams. 

Dreaming is a spiritual activity. For one to be able to remember their dreams, they need to be spiritual to some extent. If a person is not involved in anything that could help build them up spiritually, they might possibly have a hard time remembering their dreams.

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

The Bible says that spiritual things are foolishness to those who are not spiritual. A carnal person doesn't appreciate spiritual things and will have a hard time experiencing the same. 

What I'm saying in essence here is that, before anyone complains about not being able to remember their dreams, they should ask their self, whether they are spiritual or not. If you are not a spiritual person, start by getting to know God. That could be just the perfect and simplest solution to your problem!

I understand that forgetting dreams can be a nuisance. Besides that, it is not normal for people to forget their dreams. Forgetting dreams is a spiritual problem that everyone who experiences it should find a solution to—as fast as possible. 

I say so because, for example, through dreams people have be alerted of pending dangers. And because they foresaw such dangers in their drrams, they were able to avert and escape them. Then come to think of not being able to remember such dreams the moment the dreamer wakes up? That is quite dangerous!

I have noticed that a good number of those who forget dreams were once able to remember their dreams. This is to say, they were not born that way, since everyone is born with the inherent ability to see and remember their dreams. 

The reason why people forget their dreams is rarely because they do not have enough sleep, as some even begin dreaming immediately they dose off.

Most times, forgetting dreams is a deliberate and well-calculated spiritual attack from the kingdom of darkness. 

Because the enemy knows that if a Christian can see (through dreams) what he his plotting against them, they will immediately pray to destroy it, he will device another means. This could come as a spiritual attack against the Christian's ability to remember their dreams. 

The enemy attacks people's ability to remember dreams by putting a spiritual veil upon them, and doing his best to make them less spiritual, so that if possible, they would completely lose their ability to dream dreams. 

If there is anything the enemy could do to make people sleep and wake up without seeing what he's doing against them, is to his advantage, and he would go extra mile to do it. 

As a Christian, if all of a sudden you start noticing that you are beginning to experience difficulties remembering your dreams, it is time to start fasting and praying ruggedly to lift the dark cloak the enemy has thrown upon you. Don't be ignorant of his devices. 

Biblical Meaning Of Not Remembering Dreams

The Bible makes us understand in Joel 2:28 that, in the Last Days, sons and daughters of God will dream dreams and see visions. And you will agree with me that, God doesn't show us dreams so we would forget them on waking up.

And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

God shows us dreams and communicates instructions to us through dreams, so we could act on them the moment we wake up. Not remembering dreams is clearly not God's will for our lives.

1. Double-Check Your Prayer Life. How has your prayer life been recently? Can you say your prayer life is currently powerful and vibrant? If you've slacked when it comes to prayer, fixing this could automatically fix your ability to remember dreams. 
2. Make Efforts To Be Less Carnal And More Spiritual. The benefits attached to growing spiritually or being a very spiritual person is innumerable. When it comes to spirituality, refuse to stay average. Don't be complacent with your spiritual growth. Do something that will make you more spiritual daily. 
3. Live A Holy Life. Do not compromise on holiness. Living in sin can bring the most spiritual person down to the realm of carnality, even to the extent they find it difficult remembering their dtrams. Let this not be you. 
4. Fast And Pray Consistently. Make fasting and prayer a hobby. Fast and pray more often in order to sustain your spirituality. 
5. Ask God To Destroy The Veil Of Darkness Off Your Life. The enemy might choose to attack a Christian by putting a dark veil on them. This could prevent them from hearing God and even remembering their dreams. Take your time to pray it off. 

I believe that if you apply these steps by faith, you will be able to regain your ability to remember dreams.

In a state of spiritual weakness, dreams can be easily forgotten. Living in sin can send anyone from being very spiritual to being very spiritually weak and numb. When it gets really bad, it often results to being unable to recall dreams anymore.

Work on your relationship with God and work on your spiritual life. Get revived spiritually, and you will be able to remember your dreams.

In simpler terms, below are some tips you can use to stop forgetting your dreams:

• Get saved. If you haven't yet welcomed the Lord Jesus into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, go ahead and pray this salvation prayer. 
• Seeing and remembering dreams is deeply intertwined with spirituality. In order to stop forgetting your dreams, you have to become and stay spiritual. 
• If you know that you were once spiritual, but along the line, you backslided in your walk with God, start by reviving your relationship with God. 
• Sin is darkness, it closes the spiritual eyes and causes people to live in darkness and forget their dreams. Apply scriptural principles to live above sin and live a consecrated life. 
• Refuse to be lukewarm and carnal. 
• Immerse yourself in a daily communion with Jesus Christ through quality prayers, fasting and studies of the Word. 
• Be filled with the Holy Spirit. 
• Pray relevant prayer points that can help you remember your dreams.

1. Thank You Father for the gift of dreams, through which you speak to us and reveal the plots of the enemy for their destruction. 
2. Father, I confess every sin and every wrongdoing that I may have done that caused me to start forgetting my dreams. Wash and purify me by the Blood of Jesus, Amen. 
3. By the authority of Jesus Christ, I come against every attack of the enemy against my ability to recall dreams. Let it be destroyed in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. 
4. By the fire of God, I destroy every veil of darkness covering my spiritual eyes and causing me to forget dreams, in Jesus Name. 
5. I come against every form of spiritual manipulation against my dream life. Be destroyed in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! 
6. Every agent of darkness assigned to rob me of my dreams and cause me to forget them before I wake up, be arrested in the Name of Jesus. 
7. Lord Jesus, I ask that You Anoint and reactivate my spiritual eyes to see and recall my dreams. Amen.
