Steps On How To Put The Devil Under Your Feet, According To The Bible

Let's take a look at eight scriptural ways you [as a Christian] can keep Satan under your feet. You are enabled for dominion over evil.
How To Put The Devil Under Your Feet

There is an alarming increase in the intensity of spiritual attacks against the end time Church. We are living in the Last Days and the enemy knows that his time is short, that is why he is unveiling all the weapons in his arsenal against the Church. I believe this teaching is needful on these last days. Join us as we learn how to put the devil under your feet.

No genuine Christian would say that they've never come under any spiritual attack from the enemy. None of us have outgrown spiritual warfare.

Everyone who is born of God; everyone who is making substantial impact in the Kingdom of God is kept under radar by the kingdom of darkness, and attacked like there's no tomorrow!

Spiritual attacks come in diverse forms but I'm not going into details concerning that in this article.

Our Lord Jesus longs to see us to live a victorious life above every device of darkness—He has made provision for us to do so. The battle is the Lord's. We are more than conquerors. Victory is ours. We just need to lay hold of this victory and operate from that place against the enemy and his works.

In Hosea 4:6 God said, "my people perish for lack of knowledge...." One thing the enemy never wants the people of God to lay hands on is the right spiritual and scriptural knowledge—since doing so would expose his tactics and equip people to put him under their feet!

Proverbs 23:23 KJV
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

The kingdom of darkness is not playing games against any Christian. They are mandated to destroy (John 10:10). They and their works also need to be treated with a greater level of seriousness by the end time Christian.

Ephesians 2:5-6 KJV
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) [6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

We are seated with Christ in heavenly places. We wield a higher level of spiritual authority. The Lord has enabled us for victory. If we follow basic scriptural principles we'll always keep the enemy in his rightful place—under our feet!

Luke 10:19 KJV
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

8 Ways To Put The Devil Under Your Feet

Below are biblical ways a Christian can put the enemy under their feet.

1. Have A Right Standing With God

Righteousness means having a right standing with God. That comes only through salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is not like our self-righteousness—which is as a filthy rag before God (Isaiah 64:6). Be sure you're genuinely saved. A right standing with God is the permit we need in order to successfully confront and subdue the kingdom of darkness using our Christ delegated authority.

Get saved. Get right with God and have His backing, then you'll be in a good place to overcome the enemy.

2. Do Not Be A Fair-Weather Christian

Fair-weather Christians run to wherever the grass is greener in every season—be it the side of God or that of Satan. We must choose whom we serve and be faithful to our Master. We cannot afford to be in the fence.

1 Corinthians 10:21 KJV
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Fair-weather Christians are happy when things go smooth but get grumpy and lose their zeal for God when challenges arise. They lose motivation to pray when the battle is fierce.

A fair-weather Christian cannot stand the enemy.

3. Get The Word In Your Spirit

Get in the Word and get the right amount in you. Do this because you will need it whenever the enemy rears his ugly head against you. The Word of God is one of Heaven's most deadly weapons against the enemy.

4. Be A Prayer Warrior

Every Christian should be a prayer warrior. Become a prayer warrior—because your life depends on it. The life of every productive and victorious Christian is that of an effectual, fervent and consistent prayer. The enemy preys on those who don't pray.

Luke 18:1 KJV
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

A serious Christian is not suppose to depend on the prayers of other Christians for their sustenance. The best person to pray for you is you!

5. Get Faith And Get Rid of Fear

Fear empowers the enemy. Don't give him such power. Get faith in God instead.

For a Christian to be able to confront the enemy and his cohorts and bring them under their feet, great faith in God is required. Know [without a shadow of doubt] the authority you have in Christ and that it always works whenever it's being put to use—even in warfare prayer against the enemy.

6. Be Completely Submitted To God

Victory over the enemy and his minions comes with being totally submitted to God. When there is submission and obedience to God, the enemy cannot stand us.

James 4:7 KJV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

7. Be Constantly Filled With The Holy Spirit

Stay filled with the Holy Spirit, because the power to subdue the enemy comes from the Spirit of God.

Zechariah 4:6 KJV
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

8. Always Give God His Glory

Not because we are so Anointed and powerful that we are able to overcome Satan. It is because God lives in and works through us. It is therefore unwise to take credits and deny God His glory.

Final Thoughts On Keeping The Devil Under Your Feet

We are from above, agents of darkness are beneath. It is our birth right to rule over every firm of evil. Through Jesus Christ, we have dominion over Satan.

We are not the victims, we are conquerors—we are victorious through Christ. Do not let the enemy do exploits [unopposed] in your domain.
