The enemy knows that if the people of God are successfully suppressed, they will cease from becoming a threat to his works. This is the major goal Satan wishes to achieve using witchcraft attacks, but we cannot sit back and watch that happen.
The Lord did not commission us to operate at the barest minimum because of attempts of the enemy to place restrictions on us. The Almighty Anointed and commissioned us to suppress, destroy and exercise dominion over Satan and his works in the earth realm.
Luke 10:19 ESVBehold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
But then, can a Christian say that they are dominant over the works of darkness while they are under the influence of witchcraft yokes? A soldier cannot say they are the victor if they are already caught and locked up in their enemy's camp.
It is God's will that He delivers us from witchcraft yokes, so that we can walk in the fullness of who He destined us to be.
What Is A Spiritual Yoke
A yoke (also known as a harness) is something that tightly binds a particular thing, restricting its free will and activities—but left to serve the purpose of the one who bound it.
Hundreds of years ago, two donkeys would often get bound together by a yoke and made to pull a cart. Even horses are bound and controlled by a harness. Whatever is bound by a yoke is under the control and influence of the one who did the binding.
In the modern world, we can liken the police handcuffs to a yoke. We know that whoever is handcuffed by the police is under arrest. At that moment, that person has lost their freedom and control over their life, until they are set free.
The concept of a yoke according to the Scriptures, is a metaphor for bondage and servitude. Slaves are under the yoke of their masters (1 Timothy 6:1), and must do their bidding as long as they remain slaves.
There are two categories of spiritual yokes: the yoke of God and the yoke of Satan.
When Jesus said in Matthew 11:29, “Take My yoke upon you,” He was literally saying, “Walk before Me as My servant; as someone who has submitted their life to Me and has no control over their life anymore, because they have given it to Me. Serve Me.” Our Lord Jesus Christ went on to say that, His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30).
Apparently, God doesn't force His yoke on anyone. Despite the fact that His yoke is easy, He gives us the freedom to choose whether or not to come under it. We also know that taking God's yoke upon us does us good and no harm at all (Jeremiah 29:11). But the case is different when it comes to Satan's yoke.
The Yoke Of Witchcraft
Witchcraft yokes are Satan's yokes. The devil operates through witchcraft activities to forcefully put people under his control—so as to spiritually enslave, manipulate and destroy them. Remember that the enemy came to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). One of his favorite tools used in achieving this is witchcraft.
If there is a person under any form of witchcraft yoke, that individual remains at the mercy of the enemy until and if they are set free. If you are that person, hear the word of the Lord for you today:
“Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.” Jeremiah 28:2
The yoke of the king of Babylon is the yoke of unrighteous punishment and slavery. It is the yoke of misery and ruin. The purpose for which the enemy puts anyone under witchcraft yoke is to slowly or speedily manipulate their life and destiny, comfortably ruining them till their day of final extermination.
But God! By His mercy and Mighty Power, is about to shatter that demonic yoke and set someone free today, in the Name of Jesus Christ!!
Signs That One Is Under Witchcraft Yokes
There are many symptoms we can pinpoint, confirming the activities of witchcraft yokes in someone's life. But the major ones are as follows:
1. Experiencing Sleep Paralysis
Many people have this experience almost each time they are sleeping, that an unknown evil force presses down on them and tries suffocating them. Many have died in their sleep due to such witchcraft attacks. This is just one of the major signs that one is under witchcraft yokes.
2. Dreaming Of Cats
There are people who constantly dream of seeing cats in their home, either monitoring them or aggressively fighting them. This is one sign that the dreamer is under witchcraft yokes.
3. Having Strange Illnesses

1. Pray In Faith And Boldness
The Bible tells us that the Son of God manifested with the intent of destroying the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He is the Lion and also the Lamb. He can be humble or aggressive, depending on what the situation at hand demands.
Destroying the works of darkness is what Jesus loves to do. It is left for you to know how to harness this truth to lay hold of your victory. Exercising unwavering faith in the Son of God during spiritual warfare invokes that warfare aspect of Jesus Christ into action.
