The earth realm is a battlefield. And all genuine Christians are in this battle (whether we admit it or not).
Any Christian who does not experience spiritual attacks from the enemy is already in his grip. [No Christian has outgrown spiritual attacks]
The false feeling of security is a cloak of darkness thrown on such a Believer, while the enemy and his cohorts operate undetected.
Christians who think they do not need prayers (especially spiritual warfare prayers), are the ones who need such prayers the most.
What Is The Purpose Of Prayer?
As a Christian, understand that the enemy is not playing games with you in these last days. The kingdom of darkness is all out on their final mission to pull as many souls as possible, down the pit of Hell with them.
The weapon of prayer was not given to us just so we could have a means to reach out to God, to ask for food, clothes, houses and cars.
If at all prayer was given to us for such purposes, they would be the least of all.
The enemy occasionally attempts to pluck us out of the hands of God. Even though he knows he cannot succeed in this attempt, he does not stop trying. And what does God say we must do? Resist him!
1 Peter 5:8-9 KJVBe sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
We must resist the enemy as much as he is not willing to give up. Give him an equivalent (and even superior) opposite resistance!
Don't give him a reason to rejoice (at any moment) that he was able to successfully do a single thing against you or your loved ones.
Prayer was not given just so we could go to God with a long list of all the material things we want from Him.
With prayer, we root out, we pull down, we overthrow the works of darkness in our territories and beyond. And then we establish the kingdom of God in that territory.
Prayer does the undercover work that preaching cannot do. Prayer prepares the way for the Word of God to have its free course.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 KJVFinally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.
Prayer looses the shackles and entanglements of darkness, that are restraining people from receiving our message and getting their deliverance. Prayer does the 'pre-deliverance' works on people and territories.
The tongue is powerful and prayer is even more powerful. The tongue and prayer are a deadly combination! If we can use both efficiently, there is no limit to what we would achieve through prayers!
Jesus gave us a practical example in Himself, on the need to pray and stay prayed up. On several occasions in scriptures, we saw that Jesus withdrew into a solitary place and prayed.
Mark 1:35 KJVAnd in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Though He is the Son of God and fully God, Jesus prayed, and continues to pray to the Father even till this day.
Romans 8:34 KJVWho is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Our Lord Jesus Christ understands the importance of prayer. He does not joke with it. And He expects us to be like Him in all ramifications.
If we prayed as much as God wants us to, the kingdom of darkness would have no chance—not a single chance to do anything against the Church.
It is due to the slackness of watchmen and intercessors that we see many things we are not supposed to witness happening in the Church.
When prayer fully returns to the end time Church, uncommon victory will return. We will witness genuine revival like never before.
Effectiveness of Midnight Prayers
Funny enough, I have heard Christians say that the night is for agents of darkness (and not for us—because we are sons of light). Too bad, they forgot that earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1).
God created both the day and night. Satan did not create anything—not a single thing. We cannot let him rule over the night. God still owns the night, not the enemy.
We are God's end time army on earth and we must operate both during the day and night, to checkmate the activities of darkness.
With that being said, now we know that both the day and night is ours. The kingdom of darkness has to know that God has a remnant.
They must feel the impact of the Church on earth—together with the dimension of destruction we can wrought on their works. We cannot let them operate undisturbed.
- Midnight prayer breaks the stubborn yokes of darkness that could not be broken during the day.
- Midnight prayers are a head-on, live confrontation of the kingdom of darkness. And deliverance is always guaranteed.
- The Holy Spirit is a lover of midnight prayers. He doesn't hesitate to show up in power to consume and destroy the works of darkness.
- Through midnight prayers, you can gain swift breakthrough and victory over the things you have been praying for many years, to no avail.
- Midnight prayers makes you fearless, and a dreadful opposition to the kingdom of darkness.
- Through midnight prayers, the power of God is released to many who engage in it. Because God understands that very period of the night is not a joke. You will need His power to dismantle the works of darkness that may be ongoing at that moment.
I am yet to see a powerful Christian who hates midnight prayers.
How To Conduct Midnight Prayer
The best time for midnight prayers are the early hours of 12am to 3am. These are the hours of heightened spiritual activity in the earth realm. We must make the best use of them.
It was while men slept that the enemy came along and sowed tares among the wheats, and went his way.

A Christian who sleeps all through the night, every night is not ready to defeat a full-time devil. In fact, such Christians are often in one bondage or the other.
The activities of darkness intensify during night. If you are truly saved and Anointed, this is the right time to confront darkness—while they are in their coven chanting incantations and casting spells.
This is the right time for getting deliverance for yourself, your loved ones and the Church.
