You must have noticed in scriptures, that there was always something spectacular about every person who made positive impacts in their generation.
This calibre of people always have something in common, and that is diligence.
Diligence, according to Wikipedia, is carefulness and persistent effort or work. It is one of the seven heavenly virtues. It is indicative of a work ethic, the belief that work is good in itself.
People like Enoch, Daniel, Joseph, Apostle Paul etc, all had this thing called diligence.
Jesus Himself demonstrated to us the need to be diligent in everything we do. He never missed His prayer schedule. Daniel was that same way.
You can not separate diligence from Divine success.
The opposite of diligence is carelessness. Divine intervention may not always step in where we wreck things through carelessness.
If a Christian was not meticulous at their workplace and as a result, got a sack letter, Divine intervention may not step in.
God Himself upholds diligence. One of the requirements for success and excellence in the Kingdom of God is diligence.
Even chasing after God requires diligence. We cannot do it carelessly and expect mighty results.

The Lord has given us the grace to beat all odds and achieve great feats. But if we are not diligent, we still may not be able to achieve those feats.
Diligence brings uncommon breakthrough. With diligence, people break limits. Diligence makes us stand out from the crowd.
As Anointed as Sampson was, one thing he lacked was diligence. The Anointing did not help him when he was already in the hands of his enemies due to carelessness.
We were not told that Joseph was as Anointed as Sampson, yet the success he recorded in his time exceeded that of Sampson. Or can we even point out one tangible success that Sampson recorded in his lifetime?
Proverbs 12:24 The diligent person will rule, but the slothful will become a slave.
To a Christian who is not diligent, everything and anything is acceptable. Being extra-careful when it comes to the things we do and the way we live is not old-fashioned.
The Holy Spirit is there to enable us do beyond our ability. But we also have our part to play. We must be diligent.
Key Point
Walking with God and walking in divine success requires diligence. If we must walk in excellence—in God's purpose for our lives, we must walk diligently.
