1 John 5:4-5 KJV
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
God's Mind Today
One of the major things that makes us Christians is faith. We receive Jesus Christ into our hearts by faith. Everything we receive from God is by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Faith is the currency of Heaven. Without it we can not transact business with God. Everything God intends to do on earth is executed through us as His Ambassadors on earth—by faith!
Why then would we not have such an indispensable asset in our walk with God?
Our present world is filled with tribulations and trials, hardships and suffering. If we take to heart all that is happening in this world today, we would begin to fear and lose our faith in God. But the Lord already told us that He has overcome the world. We must walk in the reality of that victory!
John 16:33 KJVThese things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
If our Lord Jesus is an overcomer, we are also overcomers if we choose to put fix our gaze on Him, even in the midst of all the noise and chatters of this world!
Then the Lord asked, "When the Son of man comes, will He still find faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8). We cannot to lose this valuable asset at this point in time!
Key Point
God is still on His Throne, so there is nothing to fear. Irrespective of all that is happening around us and all the fearful stories we see in the news everyday, we overcome!
Prayer
Lord Jesus I choose to fix my gaze on you. I will not be carried away by the world's news. I choose not to fear, for I know that you are still in charge of the affairs of this world. As I put my trust in you, I receive into my heart, your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen!
