God's Mind Today

God is still speaking and He does that everyday. Every loving Father would always want to have a conversation with His children. The case cannot be different with our heavenly Father.

Most Christians complain about not being able to hear God's voice. The problem isn't that God isn't speaking. The problem is that not many are willing to sit at His feet.

Sitting at the feet of Jesus is not old-fashioned. The Lord longs to speak to us daily.

Some resort to going from prophet to prophet, asking to hear a prophesy from God. This itself is a dangerous adventure. God's mind is revealed in His Word.

We cannot neglect our Bibles if we long to hear what God is saying. Knowing God's word also enables us to differentiate His voice from that of the enemy.

God wants to meet with us and speak to us through His Word. But He cannot do that if we do not study.

The holy scriptures is indispensable to our walk with the Lord and spiritual growth.

The Word of God is not meant to be read but to be fed on. The Lord told us so.

John 6:63 KJV
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We must stay hungry for God's word as much as we get hungry for physical food on daily basis.

Our Lord Jesus Christ emphasised on the importance of having His words in us (John 15:7). Having the word of God in us opens us up to an endless stream of possibilities.

Revelation 12:11 KJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Victory comes through having God's word in us. We can not confront and bring down the works of darkness with our own words. The word of God is our offensive weapon—the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 3:17).

Getting God's word in our spirit brings us spiritual nourishment, revival, and power. Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness just by speaking the Word.

How much do we value God's word?

Key Point

Corporate studies of scriptures is good. But God also wants to meet us individually in His Word. Jesus wants us sit at His feet (in solitude) to hear His heart and learn for Him. God has something unique to say to each and everyone of us through His Word.

Prayer

Thank You Lord Jesus for reminding me today of the importance of making Your word a priority in my life. Enable me to love Your Word even more, and to make it a habit to sit at your feet daily. Amen.
